The HRI F-Series ROVs

Designed for survey and observation capabilities over long range and at high speeds, the F-system ROVs combine AUV capabilities with real-time feedback and control.

The F-11000 is a long-range AUV replacement device which has range and substantial payload capabilities but does not possess manipulative capabilities. It is an ideal alternative to AUVs, allowing for programmed operation modes with the addition of real-time data and just-in-time control functions. The F-11000 is optimized for speed and range.
The market applications for the F-11000 include:

Survey – the collection of measurements using a wide range of built-in and/or carried instruments. The markets for this include oil & gas, underwater construction, and scientific research.
Surveillance and port security – the vehicle is ideal for patrolling a wide range and collecting sensor data to identify incoming objects. The primary markets for these applications are defence and homeland security.
AUV Platform – for companies developing their own AUV software and control systems, the F-11000 is offered as a base vehicle platform, with full ocean depth capabilities, allowing AUV manufacturers and research instititutions to concentrate their resources on the development of the software and sensory capabilities that are critical to specific AUV missions. The fiber-optic link can be removed should real-time data collection or interaction capabilities not be required.
